Families enjoy Special Summer Party

We were delighted to join our partners, Aflac NI at the weekend to host a very special Summer party for families whose children are receiving treatment in the Children’s Cancer Unit.

In the beautiful surroundings of Aflac’s offices, families had the chance to enjoy all sorts of fun activities including arts & crafts, face painting, gaming consoles, giant jenga and much more. They also enjoyed the opportunity to mingle and catch up away from the hospital environment.

A childhood cancer diagnosis has a major impact on the whole family and ‘normal’ life changes significantly. Events like these are so important as they allow families to spend quality time together in a safe environment.

We absolutely loved seeing everyone’s happy smiling faces and hope everyone had a great day.

A huge thank-you to all the team from Aflac for hosting and organising this fabulous event and all the volunteers and suppliers who came along to make sure everyone had so much fun. We look forward to continuing this great partnership.

Danielle Smyth and a friend enjoy a quiet moment on a bench beside the iconic Paddington Bear statue, which holds a sandwich as if offering it to passersby. A vehicle hums in the background, adding to this picturesque scene that would make for a perfect Mother’s Day feature.
