Latest News from Dream Apartments:
To mark the rapid growth and expansion of the business, including the opening of the new ‘Dream Pods’ on Belfast’s Bank Square, Dream Apartments have pledged support of £60,000 to the Children’s Cancer Unit Charity over the next five years.Managing Director of Dream Apartments, Tom Smyth said:
“This pledge is a great way for us to celebrate our achievements and to give back to our local community – particularly those families going through an extremely tough time.
“The Children’s Cancer Unit is a very special place here in Belfast where children affected by cancer from right across Northern Ireland receive specialist care, so it deserves as much support as possible. We hope that our donation will go some way to supporting the team that carries out this incredibly important work and cares for these children every day.”
The Children’s Cancer Unit Charity supports the work of the medical team and staff at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children and relies entirely on public donations.
Anna McDonald from the Children’s Cancer Unit Charity met with the team at Dream Apartments to thank them for their support and explain what their significant donation means to the Charity. She added:
“We could not continue our work in supporting the Children’s Cancer Unit without donations from our generous fundraisers and the backing of local businesses, so we are so grateful for this overwhelming pledge of support by Dream Apartments.
“As well as helping the charity to fund essential equipment and other practical support measures for families, these funds will also go towards providing activities, games and workshops to help keep the children entertained and distracted during their stay, including some much-deserved little surprises and treats.”
March 2019: Dream comes through
The Children’s Cancer Unit Charity is able to exist thanks to the generosity of the general public and relies on the support of local businesses.
It is with great pleasure that the Charity can welcome Dream Apartments to its team of Corporate Partners. The commitment of Tom Smyth and his team provides ongoing support and encouragement, helping the Charity carry out its role in supporting the work of the medical team and staff at the Children’s Cancer Unit.
Speaking at the launch of the partnership, Tom Smyth said:
“It’s very important for every fortunate thing that happens to you in your life, you must give back. That’s really integral to everything we do.
The Cancer Unit assists many Children and their families at a difficult time in their lives and I’d encourage others to provide physical and financial assistance for this very worthy cause.”
