Well, we did on Sunday 30th June…
What a special day for the Children’s Cancer Unit Charity, with over 300 friends, families and supporters joining us to raise vital funds for our medical team and staff at the Children’s Cancer Unit at the Royal.
Together we walked, jogged, ran, sprinted and hobbled (!) down the CCUC Stormont Mile to raise awareness of childhood cancer in Northern Ireland and to show our families that they are not on this journey alone.
It was fantastic to see so many runners – competitive and amateur – take to the course and even clocking some impressive times. We look forward to seeing you again next year to see if we can better them!
What was particularly special was to see so many of our families, young patients and even some of the medical team who were there to enjoy the day with us.
A huge thank you to each and every person who came out to join us and to those who supported the event – we hope you all had as much fun as we did.
We want to give a special thanks to all our sponsors; EasyHotel, Davy, Phoenix Natural Gas, BDO NI, Oasis Travel, Isherwood & Ellis, Habinteg, – and all those amazing people behind the scenes that helped us make the event such a huge success.
Without your support, we wouldn’t have been able to put on the enjoyable day that we did. See you all again next year!
